Vintage ARABIA FINLAND 1996 Moomin Mug PEACE (1996-2002) Ceramic Coffee Mug

Peace is one of the most popular Moomin mugs. Bright blue sky and relaxing atmosphere combined with the name Peace makes it feel like the mug has an aura of tranquility over it. The Peace Mug is the most valuable 90’s mug after the cartoon mugs.

The light blue mug called Peace was released in 1996 and production was discontinued in 2002. Tove Slotte chose the artwork from Tove Jansson’s comic #04 Moomin’s Desert Island. Slotte also used an image from a postcard designed by Tove Jansson in 1982. The images chosen for the mug remind us of Tove Jansson’s values and that she collaborated with charities, including Amnesty International.
